
The Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) leadership paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, the sector minister responsible for the engineering profession, to strengthen collaboration ahead of key institutional events. During the engagement, the team briefed the Minister on the upcoming Presidential Address scheduled for 18th February 2026 and the GhIE Annual Conference taking place from 16th to 20th March 2026. Discussions focused on the conference theme “Engineering the Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture Value Chain” and the central role of engineering professionals in national development.
The GhIE emphasized the need for the Institution to be actively involved in policy formulation and decision-making on engineering practice and infrastructure development across the country. The meeting also explored areas of partnership, including how the Ministry can support GhIE in advancing its mandate and achieving the objectives of the conference and the Institution at large. The visit reaffirmed GhIE’s commitment to driving engineering excellence and ensuring that engineers have a strong voice in shaping Ghana’s development agenda.
