COMMITTEES

Standing & Adhoc Committees

Article 13 establishes Standing and Special Committees of Council to support specific areas of work, including professional practice and ethics, finance, publications, and membership. These committees enhance the Council’s effectiveness by drawing on the expertise of members.

Standing Committees (Article 13.2): These are permanent committees that address core areas of the Institution’s mandate.

Special Committees (Article 13.3): These may be established by Council for specific tasks, projects, or time-bound assignments. They provide flexibility for the Institution to respond to emerging issues, advocacy priorities, or national projects.
Committees are typically composed of Council members and co-opted experts, enabling GhIE to draw on the diverse skills and experiences of its membership.
