The Director of Professional Practice provides strategic leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and regulation of professional standards, ethics, and continuing professional development (CPD) across the Institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for professional standards, ethics, and practice regulation.
- Provide technical leadership in formulating policies that guide the professional conduct of members.
- Advise the Executive Director and Council on all matters relating to professional practice and standards.
- Lead the review and updating of professional codes of ethics, guidelines, and disciplinary procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Law, Management, or a related field (PhD or professional chartership preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in professional regulation, ethics, or standards management.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, licensing systems, and disciplinary processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
