In a poignant display of camaraderie and support, the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) recently hosted a special guest at its Secretariat in Accra.
On April 5, 2024, the esteemed 33rd President of GhIE, Ing Frederick Adu-Nyako (PP), accompanied by his daughter and grandchildren, made a heartwarming courtesy call to express his gratitude to the Institution.
The visit held significant emotional weight as the President came to personally thank GhIE for its unwavering support during a difficult period in his life. Last year, he experienced the loss of his beloved wife, and GhIE stood by him with empathy and compassion.
Despite the distance from Kumasi to Accra, the President journeyed to convey his appreciation in person.
Upon his arrival, the Past President was warmly welcomed by the Executive Director, Ing David K. Nyante and the Administration Manager of GhIE. Mad. Ayisha Osman.
During the meeting, heartfelt words of gratitude were conveyed as the Past President reminisced about the kindness and solidarity extended to him during his bereavement. He expressed deep appreciation for GhIE’s support, emphasizing how it gave him and his family solace and strength.
In response, the Executive Director and the Administration Manager reiterated GhIE’s
commitment to its members, emphasizing that support extends beyond professional endeavours to encompass personal challenges and triumphs. They assured the President that GhIE would always provide comfort and assistance whenever needed.
As the visit ended, heartfelt farewells were exchanged, with well-wishes for the Past President’s future endeavours, and this moment served as a reminder of the GhIE community’s power of solidarity and compassion as members support one another during challenging times.
