The President of the Ghana Institution of Engineering Ing. Rev. Prof. Charles Adams has had bilateral discussions with the Sierra Leone Institute of Engineers on how to partner the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre Kumasi (TRECK) to provide Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses in Transport for engineers in both SLIE and GhIE. Prof. Adams who also leads TRECK as the Centre Director led a delegation from Ghana on a 5 days trip to Freetown to meet with the Sierra Leone Institute of Engineers, Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Freetown City Council, Sierra Leone Roads Authority and the World Bank office in Freetown.
The President of the SLIE, Ing. President Adams in his remarks said that professional bodies such as GhIE and SLIE must use their influence to drive the development agenda of their countries and remain apolitical. Among the SLIE Council members present were Ing. Mrs Rugiatu Koroma and Ing. Oba Jones and Ing. Christo Foster, Vice President
