In collaboration with the Center for Research, Development and Technology Incubation, KsTU, Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) organized the 2024 Edition of World Engineering Day, celebrated under the theme “Engineering Solutions for a Sustainable World.” The event brought together students from secondary schools, including TI Ahmadiyya, Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI), Jachie Pramso, and Yaa Asantewaa Senior High Schools, as well as students from KsTU.
The guest speaker for the occasion was the former Vice Chancellor of KsTU, Prof. Osei Wusu-Achaw. Also present to grace the occasion were Prof. Robert Nagre (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, KsTU), along with university staff members and engineering professionals from various disciplines. Other notable speakers at the event included Ing. Emmanuel Wireko-Brobby from KATH, Ing. Benetta Koomson, a Senior Lecturer at KNUST, and Mrs. Felicia Tettey, the Director of the Counselling Unit at KsTU.
An exhibition was held at the end of the event, showcasing innovative projects and solutions developed by students from KsTU. The exhibition provided a platform for students to display their creativity and technical skills, demonstrating practical applications of engineering principles aimed at fostering a sustainable future.
