The EEA Ghana is a National Award honouring the outstanding contribution of an individual or organization to promoting engineering excellence and innovations as well as engineering students showing great potential for research
Many Engineering and Non-Engineering professionals working in both the public and private sectors of Ghana continue to play important roles in shaping our environment and promoting sustainable development. These professionals need to be appreciated for their efforts and contributions in maintaining the integrity of good engineering practice amidst competing development interests and challenging situations.
The Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) has been established to reflect on and recognize the valuable contributions that individuals and organizations make, to inspire their continued involvement and those of others, and to promote the key role of the engineering profession in public life. It also recognizes valuable contributions and extraordinary performance in all aspects of the engineering profession. The EEA provides strong awareness of the profession among related professions and the general public.
The EEA is a prestigious event with an increasingly significant interest among members and the general public.
This year’s event has a slot for engineering craftsmanship which takes into consideration artisans/craftsmen/technicians, individuals/groups, in the Public and Private Sector who have made an outstanding contribution to public benefit through innovative and creative ideas.
From its inception in 2014, many engineers and others related to the profession have been recognized and duly honoured. The 2024 edition of the EEA is appreciably supported by VOLTA RIVER AUTHORITY
