A special retreat for Council members of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) has been held.
From Thursday, April 27 to Sunday, April 30, Council members gathered at the Afrikiko River Front Resort in Akosombo in the Eastern Region for the weekend programme.
After arriving on the first day, members of the Council were welcomed by President of the Institution Ing. Kwabena Bempong on Friday, April 28.
Executive Director of the Institution Ing. David Kwatia Nyante took the participants through the Roles, Functions, Responsibilities of EXCO and the Council as part of the workshop.
Past President Ing. Dr. Kwame Boakye joined the programme virtually to take participants through the Role of GhIE in the Regulation of Engineering Practice.
Other activities attendees partook in included team building, writing of memos and reports as well as a workshop on Effective Leadership and Teamwork led by L’AINE Services.
Ing. Bempong presented a detailed report on projects and ongoing initiatives before bringing the retreat to an end on Sunday morning.
