Ing. Steve Anoff Amoaning-Yankson
Ing. Steve Anoff Amoaning-Yankson has distinguished himself remarkably in the area of project management, overseeing major civil engineering projects across the length and breadth of Ghana, West Africa (in Sierra Leone, Sao Tome, Gambia and Nigeria) and Tanzania in East Africa.
He is a resourceful first-rate engineer, with unshaken track record in roads and highways, sewerage treatment and solid waste management exhibiting an unlimited capacity and competence in his over 42 years professional practice as a civil/municipal engineer.
Among the significant projects in Ghana for which he provided leadership are: (i) the re-development of the Olushegu-Obasanjo Highway(1991); (ii) the Kanda Highway Project(1993); (iii) the Independence Avenue and Liberation Roads (1993); (iv) Preparation of Drainage Master plan for Tema Metropolitan Assembly(2007); (v) Preparation of Drainage Master plan for Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly(2006); (vi) Feasibility Studies, Detailed Designs and Construction Supervision of Tema Engineered Landfill (2012);
He has over the past 30years, held key positions including: First Director of the Department of Urban Roads in Ghana; Consultant to the World Bank for project identification, preparation and supervision assignments in the Western and Eastern Africa; District Engineer of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly; and currently the Managing Director of a local Consulting Engineering Firm, Municipal Development Collaborative Ltd. (MDC); demonstrating tremendous efforts at transferring knowledge, passionate in institutional strengthening, and instilling professionalism in engineering
