General Duties

Operate specific types of production equipment and ensure its regular maintenance.

Perform basic routings such as oiling and greasing assigned machinery to ensure smooth operations.

Adjust machine operating speed and control the load to correspond with set requirements.

Monitor products obtained from each machine by comparing it with the relevant quality parameter and set quantity target.

 

Specific Duties

Assist in setting minor specifications and upgrade the operational systems if required.

Administrative

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for general maintenance and repairs of production machinery, equipment and tools. The Maintenance Engineer will also perform limited repairs on mechanical, electrical fittings and weighing equipment.

General Duties

  • Lead the Plant maintenance Team.
  • Implement action plans, develop monitoring and review schedule of machine performance.
  • Initiate and manage the plant maintenance program with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiate re-ordering when necessary.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repairs of In-house workshop equipment.
  • Prepare, analyse data, and report on maintenance with recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
  • Supervise plant maintenance engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished timely, and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Communicate regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure a two-way communication strategy.
  • Assist the Human Resource to recruit competent maintenance personnel.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews based on job schedule to determine competency, knowledge, and skills of maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.

Specific Duties

  • Facilitate the preparation of annual maintenance programme for the approval of the Director of Operations.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager to draft preventive and routine maintenance action plan and targets for approval.

  • Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures of the Company.

  • Review safety records to ensure maximum safety standards for all maintenance technicians.

  • Implement housekeeping programmes and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
