On behalf of the GhIE I want to express our deep concern for your health, safety and wellbeing during this difficult period.
As the nation experiences a spike in numbers of reported confirmed cases the health and safety of our members remain our highest priority.
The COVID-19 crisis is affecting every member from those who work for large engineering firms to single-man consultants. Working from home and social distancing is becoming the new normal.
Nevertheless, we are aware that many of our members are working onsite round the clock to maintain essential infrastructure. The GhIE salutes their hard work and dedication which keeps essential services running in our cities and communities.
The GhIE Code of Ethics regard public health and safety as paramount.
In these circumstances the demands on some of our members can be very stressful.
While we continue to monitor the developing situation, we implore you all to stay informed and implement the medical advisories and recommendations of our health authorities to protect yourselves and your families.
To reduce the risk of exposure to our members, guests and staff of the secretariat, the Executive Committee has approved a temporary closure of the secretariat from Monday 30th March, 2020 to Tuesday 14th April, 2020.
In spite of the closure if the need arises or if the GhIE can be of assistance to you do not hesitate to contact us through email@example.com or +233594953281
We are hopeful that the measures being implemented by our health authorities will significantly curtail the communal spread of the pandemic.
Warm Regards and Best Wishes to you and your loved ones.
